The C Suite podcast is elevating cyber literacy for everyday people. Join Claudette McGowan, TD Bank’s Global Executive Officer for Cyber Security, as she explores how cyber-attacks happen and what we can do to avoid them. From phishing schemes to robocalls and even huge corporate hacks, on this show, Claudette meets with C Suite leaders to discuss cyber challenges and ways to help people become more protected and resilient.
C Suite is hosted by TD cyber security executive Claudette McGowan and it offers an indepth look at different kinds of cybercrimes and how we can prevent them. There are so many different ways that you can be targeted by cybercriminals and C Suite does a great job of breaking them down and explaining them. Each episode focuses on a specific cybercrime, telling the story of someone who fell victim to it. Cyber experts from TD chime in to speak to how these crimes are committed in detail, and there are also high profile guests like Matt McGowan, GM of Snapchat and Kevin Mandia from FireEye who provide their thoughts as well.
What C Suite does a great job with is breaking these crimes down so you have a deep understanding of how they occur in a step by step framework. I think they do this because understanding them in this way makes it easier for people to prevent them. It’s clear the goal of the show is educating listeners about these crimes so we can mitigate them. They find ways to make complicated, technical subjects like phishing and robocalls easy to understand for any listener. The content is really interesting because everyone has experienced these kinds of attacks (robocalls etc.) but I think very few people have this level of knowledge about how they actually work.
From a production standpoint, the detailed sound design keeps your attention and makes you feel like you are going along for a journey with the victim and experts.
I have learned a lot about how to mitigate cybercrime from C Suite and feel more confident about protecting myself as well!
